The first version of openHitbox that I made in one weekend using parts on hand this version is powered by a Raspberry Pi Pico W. I decided to create this game because after I encountered a hitbox style controller for the first time at a Tekken 8 tournament. So logically after the tournament I went and looked them up online and I saw the glorified keyboards going for on average of upwards $100 dollars.
